Abstract

There has been no shortage of published papers in higher education generally, and accounting education specifically, related to the development and assessment of generic skills in the curriculum. Every stakeholder it appears has a view to share, including graduate employers, academic staff, graduates, students, and governments. This chapter’s focus on generic skills is discussed, along with the changes that have occurred in accounting curricula across the globe. Further, readers will find useful resources as Appendices to the chapter that are designed to assist with the development and assessment of generic skills in accounting education.
