Abstract

While tackling worldwide social and environmental challenges through providing the means and funds for innovative entrepreneurs is maintained to be the core vision of the social finance movement, the market has developed in different directions. Over the last couple of years, the field of such investments advanced in terms of market structures, involved participants, and investment vehicles. Among the diverse set of streams within the social finance sphere, progress achieved in Impact Investing currently receives exceptional attention in practice and in the media. Involved parties express their strong belief in an even more promising future of Impact Investing, with its potential to revolutionize how we think about investing itself (Salamon, 2014; social investment Research Council, 2014; Wilson, 2014).
