The aim of this chapter is two-fold: first, to take a theoretical excursion into reconceptualising the role of narrative and life history in generating knowledge of Africa’s educational and development landscape; second, to reflect upon the experience of using narrative and biographical approaches to education research in two sub-Saharan African national settings.
