Music can elicit very different reactions ranging from harmonious sharing to passionate contestation. For this reason, the field of music (i.e., the entire network of music making, consumption, transmission and thought: religious, ethical, philosophical) has traditionally been a fertile ground for discussing the entanglement between Jews and Muslims.
