Abstract

Online mass collaboration and user participation have been major driving forces in the development of the World Wide Web during the last fifteen years. The role of a web user has significantly changed from a passive consumer of carefully redacted content to an active prosumer (Lew 2014: 9), who contributes to the development of a website by producing new content or making revisions, while at the same time being interested in consuming information contributed by others.
