Megacities in the Global South are not only the home of millions of people, but are also hubs for nations’ major innovations and resource consumptions (Meerow et al., 2016). Some of these cities are increasingly exposed to various climate change impacts, which have tremendous implications on economy, society, the environment, and politics. Therefore, bouncing back from any adverse environmental impacts are critical for these cities as well as for its citizens. Resilience research looked at urban landscape to highlight a city’s capacity to cope with any natural hazards and return to its pre-hazard stage.
