Abstract

The China–Europe Land–Sea Express Route (hereinafter referred to as “this express route”) is a new channel of goods trade between China and Europe. It is composed of 2 routes, i.e. a land transportation route and a marine transportation route. In its land transportation route, which is a railway line, there are Budapest of Hungary and Piraeus Port of Greece, respectively, at the two ends, with Serbia and Macedonia in the middle. In its marine transportation route, there are Piraeus Port and Chinese coastal ports, respectively, at the two ends, sequentially through the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Indian Ocean, the Malacca Strait (or via a detour of either Sunda Strait or Lombok Strait), the South China Sea, the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea.
