Abstract

The need to change the perspectives from which we think and act is one of the foundations of environmental education. As Foucault (1984/1985/1990) wrote, “There are times in life when the question of knowing if one can think differently than one thinks, and perceive differently than one sees, is absolutely necessary if one is to go on looking and reflecting at all” (p. 8). In this instance, using feminist research strategies to generate a gender agenda provides the basis for different ways of thinking and perceiving in environmental education research.
