Abstract

This chapter outlines the origins of inclusive education as an international movement and the assumptions and values that underpin it. It draws upon international research and presents a framework for understanding the different types of research evidence that contribute to the area. The nature of an inclusive pedagogy is considered and the implications for psychologists are highlighted.
