Abstract

Grounded in the Continuum of Learning Environments perspective (National Research Council, 2009), negotiated and informal learning environments are differentiated in (a) the degree of learners’ choices for learning goals, activities, tools, and resources, (a) design of interactions and scaffolds, and (c) types and foci of assessment.
