Abstract

The objective of this chapter is to provide an overview of electroencephalography (EEG) in terms of basic concepts and brain applications. This represents a general survey of the field, which identifies major areas of interest from a biomedical engineering point of view. For more details on either the technical or neuroscience perspectives, the interested reader should consult specific reviews on these topics. ^{1 , 2}
