Flexible energy devices are becoming an important area because they are applicable to many fields; uses include implants and sensors in biomedical, batteries and other energy harvesting devices, electrochemical components such as electrodes, electrolytes, etc. Flexibility is demanding for lightweight components like LEDs and body-implantable devices. Many materials were exploited for making flexible energy devices. This chapter discusses the importance of fibers-based materials (both micro and nanosize) in the development of flexible energy devices. Polymeric materials, carbon-based fibers, and many natural fibers have been explored for flexible devices in this chapter. The basics of flexible energy devices, along with many fibers as components for such devices, are discussed.
