Recently, the third-generation perovskite solar cells have emerged to be a potential substitute to silicon-based photovoltaics (PV). The power-conversion efficiency of rigid perovskite solar cells has been augmented from 3.8% to 25.2% within a decade. The mechanically flexible perovskite solar cells (FPSCs) fabricated over flexible substrates such as metal foil, fabric, plastic, paper, etc. offer a wide range of applications in electric vehicles, portable electronics, and electronic textiles and can be easily installed on curvilinear surfaces like building walls. The chapter discusses the important aspects related to flexible perovskites solar cell technology, such as materials used, fabrications techniques, development, challenges, applications, and future prospects of FPSCs.
