Recognize that a part of the supervisor/manager’s job is the improvement of work methods.

Realize that within the organization, there are formal groups, informal groups, and work groups. The supervisor/manager should understand how to properly operate within these groups to achieve the objectives of the organization.

Understand and utilize the rules and regulations required by law for labor law and civil rights in the hiring process for new employees.

Recognize the need for good personnel management and the techniques utilized for employee selection, which is the first part of personnel management.

Understand the necessity for special techniques in working with a new employee.
