Abstract

As the medical research industry progresses, the methods of researching the effects of drugs on the lungs have moved to models and simulations. This chapter aims to answer the question, “To what extent has modeling and simulation of biopharmaceutical performance helped improve lung drug delivery?” It focuses on topics such as applications of modeling and simulation of biopharmaceutical performance, what modeling and simulations are helpful for, and the current use and implications of future use.
