Soil erosion is the most serious and widespread form of soil degradation. Global change, as a result of physical, chemical, and biological processes in the Earth’s system, particularly of interactions between humans and the environment, refers to changes in global environmental components that are vital to human survival. Soil erosion is an important form of global change, and it severely threatens the quality of the soil, land, air and water resources, and hence agricultural development and human life. Soil erosion and global changes are related by bi-directional interactions, and global change may exacerbate soil erosion problems.
