Abstract

Lead is a heavy metal that provides resistance and durability to surfaces and products. However, it has profound effects on human health. Lead abatement is an environmental remediation activity that has evolved into its own identifiable industry as a result of lead poisoning of children and industrial workers, and the widespread existence of lead-based paint throughout homes and living complexes.
