Abstract

Hydrology is concerned with all phases of the transport of water between the atmosphere, the land surface and subsurface, and the oceans. Hydrology encompasses many complex processes, a number of which are only imperfectly understood. This entry takes the practical approach of problem-solving and the data required to make adequate evaluations of given problems.
