Mathematics

The CRC Press Mathematics Handbooks collection includes many seminal works offered as a single reference to promote and establish the foundations of research and to promote new results. Editors and contributors with established research records offer their perspectives and results to create handbooks many mathematicians highly value. The value extends to those in other disciplines as well including engineering, physics, statistics, computer science, and the life sciences. Each handbook records the current state-of-the-art in research, and subsequent editions update research as new results require. We offer handbooks to better service the mathematics discipline, encourage young researchers, inform new results, and lay the foundations for further study.

This handbook contains more than 2,500 integral equations with solutions, as well as analytical and numerical methods for solving linear and nonlinear equations.
Covering the main fields of mathematics, this handbook focuses on the methods used for obtaining solutions of various classes of mathematical equations that underlie the mathematical modeling of numer...
The discrete logarithm problem based on elliptic and hyperelliptic curves has gained a lot of popularity as a cryptographic primitive.
While high-quality books and journals in this field continue to proliferate, none has yet come close to matching the Handbook of Discrete and Computational Geometry, which in its first edition, quickl...
Handbook of Mathematical Induction: Theory and Applications shows how to find and write proofs via mathematical induction.
The importance of discrete and combinatorial mathematics continues to increase as the range of applications to computer science, electrical engineering, and the biological sciences grows dramatically.
In addition to explaining and modeling unexplored phenomena in nature and society, chaos uses vital parts of nonlinear dynamical systems theory and established chaotic theory to open new frontiers and...
Presenting the state of the art, the Handbook of Enumerative Combinatorics brings together the work of today?s most prominent researchers.
